Ingredients for Orange Creamsicle Cake:

  1. 2 cups AP flour sifted.
  2. 1/4 tsp baking powder.
  3. 1/4 tsp baking soda.
  4. Pinch salt.
  5. 1 stick butter room temp.
  6. 1 cup sugar.
  7. 2 eggs.
  8. 1.5 tsp vanilla.
  9. 3/4 cup buttermilk.
  10. 1.5 tbs orange zest.
  11. 1/4 cup orange juice.
  12. Frosting.
  13. 3 sticks butter.
  14. 3 tbs orange juice.
  15. 1 tsp vanilla.
  16. 2-4 cups powdered sugar (to your liking).

Step by step how to cook Orange Creamsicle Cake:

  1. Preheat oven 350 spray and line pan.
  2. I used small 7 inch pans. Please double recipe for larger pans.
  3. Whisk your dry ingredients set aside.
  4. In a mixer mix sugar butter zest until fluffy and combined.
  5. Add eggs 1 at a time then add vanilla.
  6. Now add buttermilk and flour alternating a little at a time. Ending with flour mix until just combined.
  7. Add to 2 separate pans divide evenly and bake 23-25 mins..
  8. Combine frosting ingredients using room temp butter, be sure to frost a cool cake and enjoy cake at Room temperature.
