Ingredients for Independent Day Cake:
- White Cake.
- 1 cup white sugar.
- 1/3 cup softened butter.
- 2 eggs.
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.
- 2 teaspoons baking powder.

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Blue Cake.
- 1 cup white sugar.

- Red velvet cake.
- 1 cup butter.
- 1/2 cup shortening.
- 3 cups Sugar.
- 5 eggs.
- 3 cups all-purpose flour.
- 1/2 unsweetened Cocoa Powder.
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
- 1 cup milk.
- 2 ouches red food coloring.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Icing.
- 1 cup butter.
- 4 cups confectionary sugary.
- 3 tablespoon milk.
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract.
- Small Star candy will need just the white stars.
Step by step how to cook Independent Day Cake:
- For the White Cake Preheat the oven to 350° then spray and flour 13x9 pan. In a large bowl mix together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each are added. Combine the flour, baking power and salt, mix into the batter alternately with the milk. Mix in vanilla. When batter is smooth pour into 13x9 pan and cook for 25 to 30 mins. When done take out of over let cool..
- For Blue Cake Preheat the oven to 350° then spray and flour 13x9 pan. In a large bowl mix together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each are added. Combine the flour, baking power and salt, mix into the batter alternately with the milk. Mix in vanilla then add in Blue Food Coloring. Add as you mix so you get the right blue coloring that you want. When batter is smooth pour into 13x9 pan and cook for 25 to 30mins. Let cool when done..
- Preheat the oven to 350° then spray and flour 13x9 pan. In a large bowl mix together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each are added. Add flour, Cocoa, milk, mix well then add in vanilla and red food coloring. Pour into 13x9 pan and cook for 60 mins. When done let cool for 30mins..
- Beat Sugar and butter until smooth add cream and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy about 2 mins if it's to stiff add a few drops more of milk until done how you want..
- Make 4 bowls of icing 2 white, 1 red 1 blue..
- Put the blue cake at the bottom cover the top with blue icing. Just the top not the sides (try and save a little for the top left corner of the Flag). Then add the white cake on top of the blue cake cover the white cake with white white icing just the top not the sides. Then add the red on top then cover the entire cake, top and sides expect the top left corner. Top left corner put blue icing..
- Then put other white icing in a cake bag with Wilton 1m Icing Tip make line across the cake outline the sides and place your white star candy in the top lift corner..
