Ingredients for Green Onion Pancakes:

  1. 150 g plain flour.
  2. 3/4 teaspoon salt.
  3. to taste black pepper.
  4. to taste ground ginger.
  5. 1 cup water.
  6. 1 large egg.
  7. 4 medium sized green onions/ scallions.
  8. Some oil for frying.
  9. Sriracha and soy sauce for dipping.

Step by step how to cook Green Onion Pancakes:

  1. Combine flour, salt, pepper and ginger in a mixing bowl. Whisk while pouring water and cracking the egg.
  2. Trim the green onions and slice into thin rounds. Throw in the batter and fold gently. Leave to rest for 15 min.
  3. Next, heat a drop of oil in a pan over medium high heat. Add a dollop of the batter and swirl the pan to thin the pancake out.
  4. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown (which depends on the pancake's size of course). Serve with sriracha and soy sauce. Enjoy :).
