Ingredients for Crock Pot Mississippi Pot Roast:

  1. 1 (3 lb) chuck roast.
  2. 2 tbsp olive oil.
  3. to taste Salt and pepper.
  4. 1 packet ranch dressing mix.
  5. 1 packet onion soup mix.
  6. 1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick).
  7. 8 peperoncini peppers.

Step by step how to cook Crock Pot Mississippi Pot Roast:

  1. Heat large skillet on high. Once heated add oil.
  2. Dry both sides of roasts with a paper towel and then season with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Transfer roast to crock pot.
  5. Sprinkle packets of ranch and onion soup mix over the top of the roast.
  6. Top with stick of butter then place peppers on and around the roast.
  7. Cover and cook for 8 hours. Once done take two forks and shred the meat. Serve with or on mashed potatoes.
  8. I use slow cooker liners for an easy clean up. They are wonderful! After your done you just tie it up and throw it away..
