Ingredients for Bread Bhurji:
- 8 bread slices.
- 3 eggs.
- 1 onion chopped.
- 1 tomato chopped.
- Butter (optional).
- 1 tbsp oil.
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds.
- 1 tsp red chilly powder.
- 1 tsp coriander powder.
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder.
- 1 pinch turmeric powder.
- Salt as required.
Step by step how to cook Bread Bhurji:
- Toast the bread slices with or without butter..
- Cut them into pieces.
- Heat a pan with oil. add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add onion and sauté until it becomes glassy. Add tomato and sauté until it becomes soft and mushy..
- Add all spice powder (turmeric, coriander, cumin and red chilly powder) and salt. Sauté for few mins..
- Break and pour the eggs. Stir constantly and scramble the eggs..
- When it is almost cooked (80-90%), add toasted bread pieces. Stir it for few mins until it gets mixed well. By this time eggs will get completely cooked..
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup..
