  1. 1 loaf bread of your choice. I like Challah or Brioche.
  2. 4 eggs, beaten.
  3. 3 1/2 cups milk or cream.
  4. 1 cup sugar.
  5. 1/8 tsp. Salt.
  6. 2 tsp. Cinnamon.
  7. 1 stick softened butter.
  8. 1 tbsp. Vanilla extract.
  9. 1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar.
  10. 1 cup chopped pecans.

Step by step how to cook Pecan Pie Bread Pudding:

  1. Cut bread into 1 inch cubes. Place in large bowl. Set aside..
  2. In medium bowl, beat eggs, granulated sugar, milk, vanilla, salt and cinnamon..
  3. Pour milk mixture over bread and mix to coat bread..
  4. Set aside so the bread can absorb the liquid about 15 minutes..
  5. Mix the brown sugar, softened butter and pecans until it resembles wet sand..
  6. Grease a 9x13 pan with butter or non stick spray..
  7. Pour half of the mixture into pan. Sprinkle half the brown sugar mixture evenly over..
  8. Repeat another layer of bread mixture then brown sugar mix on top..
  9. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until set. Middle will have slight jiggle but will firm up as it cools..
